Videos are fabulous for building the know, like, and trust factor. All things being equal people do business with those they know, like, and trust.
My best advice would be to nail down your messaging before you pay for videos. Be really clear on who you help, how you help, the value you provide, and your ideal client’s main pain points. You can use the home page video (less than 90 seconds) to speak to your ideal client and get them to opt into an IEO (irresistible educational offer) such as a free report, checklist, or ebook.
That way, you build your house list and have permission to market to them. A video on your bio page is super useful to show why you care. Unless you’re rolling in dough, shoot more relaxed videos for FAQs, client testimonials, and substantive law with your webcam or smartphone.
Here’s an example of a home page video. Notice it’s not about me; it’s about my PNC and providing information that will encourage them to take action: Wendy’s Homepage Video: Sample and Template
This one shows why I care and that I can relate. It encourages my ideal clients to exchange their email address for my IEO so I can further build a relationship with them.
Try video! It gets easier and easier.
P.S. If you’re nodding yes, if you’re ready to go from pain to gain, if you have the vision of building a million-dollar+ law firm but don’t know how to get there, let’s chat about where you are and where you want to go. Set up your Breakthrough Strategy Session here.
