Presto-change-o! The Legal Marketing MentorTM brand has been refreshed. Attorney AlchemyTM better represents that we’re much more than legal marketing; we’re law business strategy and attorney success too. We help you transform you law firm and life to gold. (I’m playing what that tag line. Thoughts?)
Does Your Law Firm’s Branding S*ck?
Has your own firm’s branding been nagging away at you? Do you feel a tad embarrassed by it or are you thinking that it just doesn’t represent who you are, who you help, how you help, and the value you provide? Does everyone get it – or not? I’m not a fan of rebranding just to get a new logo or change for the sake of change, but when it’s time, it’s time.
Perhaps, you want to get your name off the firm so that you can build to sell, funding your retirement – or better empower your team to help clients without you in the loop, so you can be reading a book on the beach while they grind it out. Perhaps, you want your firm name to attract more ideal clients by being a whole heck of a lot clearer on the services you provide. Or, perhaps, you’ve expanded your offerings and your firm’s name is insufficient – or perhaps your firm’s name is hard to pronounce or spell for Google.
No Way, Atticus Junior: Branding is Not Your Logo
As you consider a change, remember that branding is not just your logo. You can’t jump on Fiverr, grab a new logo, and be done. Branding is your promise to your clients. Branding communicates what clients and the world can expect from you. And, all branding must be consistent.
You likely know that branding is your firm name, logo, letterhead, and colors; but, branding is also how the phone is answered, how fast you return client communications, what kind of services you provide, who you help, how you deal with conflict, how it feels to walk into your office, how easy it is to work with you, and the quality of your legal work. Your brand is everything about you – how your clients think of you – how referral sources think of you – how other lawyers think of you – and how you’re seen in the community.
Is what you’re putting out to the world, your best self? Is your law firm properly represented? Is it time for a marketing refresh like I’m doing? Or, is it time for an entirely new brand? What do you think?
